Senior Financial Reporting Role

Location: Downtown Calgary

Industry: Public Upstream Oil & Gas

Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 Base + Equity, Bonus, Benefits, Vacation

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Audit Coordination: Oversee annual audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

IFRS Compliance: Conduct technical research on IFRS and ensure proper application within the company's financial reports.

Month-End Reporting: Manage month-end reporting, including accruals and reconciliations.

Management Reporting: Prepare monthly management reports and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) to support business decisions.

Cash Flow Management: Forecast and manage cash flows to ensure financial stability and flexibility.

Qualifications:

CPA Designation: A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) qualification is required.

IFRS Experience: At least 2-10 years of experience in financial reporting for IFRS public companies.

Industry Knowledge: Direct experience in the upstream oil and gas industry is essential.

Excel Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functionality.
